Located just 14 km from Tarapoto, they lie within the <strong>Cordillera Escalera Regional Conservation Area,<\/strong>a protected zone rich in biodiversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAhuashiyacu\u201d means \u201claughing water\u201d in Quechua\u2014a name inspired by the sound of the water as it falls from over 40 meters high. The surroundings are a natural paradise, filled with giant trees, ferns, wild orchids, and wildlife such as morpho butterflies, hummingbirds, and small amphibians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Recommended Activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>- Walk along a well-marked ecological trail<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>- Swim in the natural pool formed at the base of the waterfall<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>- Spot local flora and fauna<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>- Take nature and landscape photos<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Traveler Tip:<\/strong><br>Best to visit in the morning or late afternoon.
