Inspired by European architecture, he constructed this multi-level castle complete with towers, bridges, mosaic-decorated halls, sculptures, murals, and a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>But Lamas offers much more than just the castle.<\/strong> It\u2019s an ancestral town home to the Quechua-Lamista community, who proudly preserve their traditions, language, and traditional clothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Recommended Activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>- Explore the interior of the castle and its terraces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>- Visit the viewpoint and Lamas\u2019 Main Square (Plaza de Armas)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>- Shop for handicrafts in the Wayku neighborhood<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>- Join cultural workshops or taste local products like coffee, cacao, or exotic ice creams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Traveler Tip:<\/strong><br>Lamas is perfect for a half-day visit.
